Overall Raiting: Critical Insufficient
Description
Argentina's climate goals and policies are rated "Critically Insufficient" by the Climate Action Tracker. The country is making slow progress on climate policy, with a heavy reliance on fossil fuels and insufficient action in key sectors such as energy and agriculture. Despite having presented a long-term strategy for GHG neutrality by 2050, Argentina's 2030 targets fall far short of what is needed to meet the Paris Agreement's 1.5°C limit. Current policies could lead to a global temperature increase of more than 3°C.
